Usually I don´t cut songs. From time to time I get rid of some parts which I don`t need (like neverending repeats aso). This time, there`s barely anything left of the song. I`ve only wanted to have the opening, and the end. So, I got rid of everything inbetween (btw, voice over alert half way through the video!)

About the video itself, well: I had the idea after watching the first few episodes of season 7. Sam and Dean claimed, more than ever, to be fine.

imaginary Lucifer was having a blast inside Sam`s head, everything that happened with Castiel, the Leviathans, Dean drinking like a fish, the secrets, the nightmares aso, still they always claimed to be fine.

Riiiight

I took this song, which is called "Feeling Good", and slapped scenes/moments in which both boys are anything but fine.

hmmm, maybe I should add a warning for my (at times more than) weird ideas also

vid notes: This is all about "Saving people, hunting things ..." aka Dean in action, doing what needs to be done.

random notes: No Demons, no Angels, no Deals, this video is all about awesome!Dean in action. In actions means, he`s being tossed around a lot also *evil grin*

season 1-3, with a few, lonely, season 6 clips inbetween.

At first I didn`t know how to get this vid done. Then I came up with the idea of having it focused on the MotW, the "Saving people, hunting things ..." line. This meant, no angels and demons, no deals, no season 4&5.

I always try NOT to vid the lyrics too literal, I always try to stay away from "literal" as much as I can on a regular base. Like, when the lyrics mention the word "crying", or "cry", you barely see me using someone actually crying. "crying" can also mean (in my twisted way of thinking) sad or in pain, and being sad or in pain doesn´t always include tears. In this vid, on "sleep in peace tonight" I could have used someone sleeping, I didn`t. Instead I used scenes which, in my weird way of thinking, made sense on that line WITHOUT using someone sleeping.

All of this is the reason why I did this vid the way I did it at the end, the reason why I used these scenes.

But be sure, I had a LOT of fun doing this vid, playing with all the awesome season 1-3 moments made me remember why I fell for SPN the moment I started watching.

Although the show has changed over the years, I still love it the way I did when I started watching (btw, season 1 "Phantom Traveler"`s been my first ever SPN episode, don`t ask my WHY this episode managed to suck me into the SPN world, I have no idea. AND NOOOO, it`s not been THE "Dean`s in bed" scene from PT, back then I missed the first 15 min. of the ep.)

anyway, this is the 2nd vid promt I`ve filled at "spn_rambleon", I have one more video on my *to do* list for the meme

so I guess I can say: see you soon (with another SPN video );D

random notes prt.2: looking at my journal, it seems 2011 is a BSG and SPN year for me. (so far) I have 9 vids listed for 2011, 4 are for BSG, 5 for SPN *glares at vid list* ... okayyyyy ... not to mention the fact that 9 vids, is a new low for me at this point of the year *duh*

Welcome to "Supernatural", or, *pyro central*: Where fires burn, angels & demons glow, and ghosts sparkle, aka lots of *fiery* SPN action.

random notes: This is one of the few general & overview vids I`ve done for SPN. Usually SPN is a character focused (vid) show for me, unlike BSG or NCIS, where most of my vids are general & overview (speaking of NCIS, I have a new NCIS video in the making, I hope I get around to finish it asap. And one video for "Justified", and one for Farscape, and ... *thud*)

As soon as I had the idea for this SPN vid, I knew it had to be this version of "Ring of Fire" ... why? because H-BLOCKX RULES! ;D

Along the way I bagged pretty much everything that includes fire and bright light.

This, or course, means I didn`t use the lyrics literaly, all the time.

And of course this also means: the video is surposed to be F.U.N (and NOT to be taken too serious. I´ve dealed with more than anough SPN angst, it`s time for something else)

I just couldn´t resist while working on this vid. I used some MotW, because the ghosts sparkle just fine. I used angels killing demons, angels killing angels (btw, why`s Dean able to kill Zac? I thought only an angel can kill another angel) because they glow just fine, aso aso aso.

and I used our boys, and everyone else going *pyro*. Because this s***, never gets old *happy sigh*

add some (more or less random, but hey, it looks shiny and made the hubby laugh) action & funny moments to the mix, and you get "Ring of Fire"

(and just for the record: YES, the clips which I`ve used twice, almost in a row, that`s with reason, no accident ;D)

Random notes:
1st, almost two years ago aruna7@lj and I came up with the idea of a vid battle. Main idea was to use the same song, for the same character.
The major difference is the vid editor, she`s using Sony Vegas. I use Corel`s Videostudio.

It took me two years to get this BSG vid on the way *yikes*. I could never wrap my mind around it, until two weeks ago.

So, this vid is my part of the deal, you can expect to see a vid from aruna7@lj as soon as she gets around to do it (well, I just hope it won`t take another 2 years, for her to finish the vid *rofl*). As soon as she`s done, I add a link to her version of "Nemo"

2nd: This is the third time I`ve used "Nemo". The two videos which I`ve done before, using this song, can be found here:

add these videos to the challenge of doing "Nemo" for Sam, since I didn`t want to copy what I already had. I`ve tried to make this BSG vid different than the others.

3rd: This is my 5th BSG video, but my first ever BSG character video. So far I`ve only done general & overview. So please, be gentle *blush*

LAST: with this vid I start my *svala`s celebrating her 5th vidding anniversary* month

Plan is to post at least one more vid in June, maybe more. I`m already working on a new SPN vid (I hope I`m able to post the SPN video before I leave for Barcelona on June 10th) and I have some more ideas for other vids also.

By now I`ve done more than 100 vids, in 5 years, I still am able to enjoy what I`m doing (although it is a pain in the a** at times, although I`m ready to throw my computer, and vid clips, out of the window at times), I`m still bouncing in my chair, literaly, I`m still screaming and howling, crying and laughing, while scene hunting & cutting a vid.

At times I try to do new, and different, things, but I`m more or less settled in my own style by now. As long as I still like how I do it, I`m not gonna change anything major. And no money in the world, no Sony Vegas, no nothing, would make me leave behind my beloved Videostudio.

But most of all: as long as there`s still one person left who likes what I do, I`m a happy camper!
One person saying "I like" makes everything even more worth it, all the hours, days, sometimes weeks, at times tears and emotional pain, which I put into a video.
